Skiing on the pistes of South Tyrol

The Hotel & Spa Sonnenparadies is located directly beside the pistes of the Sun Lift in Terento. This is where pleasure skiers and less experienced skiers find a pleasant slope to explore. The Sun Lift also offers night skiers the option to go skiing late at night. Those that find it too quiet can head over to the pistes on the Kronplatz.

The Kronplatz is without a doubt South Tyrol’s no. 1 ski resort and with its 115 kilometres of slopes is just right for every skier. Whether steep slopes and the Fun Park for experienced ski pros, or family-friendly downhill runs for beginners and pleasure skiers – you’re sure to find it all. There’s no lack of eateries for an in-between snack or to round off the day with a bit of après-ski.

The Ski area Speikboden in the Puster Valley has 38 km of pistes and 7 modern lift installations. Freestylers and snowboarders can have their fun in the Fun Park, while children and beginners are taken care of by professional ski instructors at the ski school.

The Klausberg ski and hiking area offers 30 km of pistes with guaranteed snow for skiers of all levels. Here, pros and pleasure skiers alike find everything they could want for a perfect day out on the pistes.

Cross-country skiing - towards the sun

Bright sunshine awaits all skiers in the sunny village of Terenten. In Terenten and Pfalzen there are three cross-country tracks with a length of 12 km. The natural snow track on the sunny plateau offers easy and intermediate runs for diagonal as well as skating techniques, which start right at the village, affording a unique view of the Dolomites. A cross-country ski rental is available directly in Pfalzen.  Cross-country skiers will find various cross-country skiing areas of the Dolomiti-Nordicski-Karusell right near Terenten, which can be easily reached by cross-country bus.

Ski touring – leave your own trail

For those that prefer less hustle and bustle and that want to enjoy the tranquillity of nature, we recommend a ski tour into the mountains that surround Terento. There are many tours to offer. Steep or long – on the sunny high plateau ski, tourists are sure to find a tour that suits their tastes. The effort to get to the mountaintop makes the view of the Dolomites even more enjoyable, while pristine slopes invite you for an enjoyable downhill run.
